The main aspect of the unique services we provide here at CatchingTime.com concerns making sure that your print perfectly matches your space. Size, print surface and mounting type will be personalized to the specific needs of the client, and will take into consideration the size of the room and wall space in which it is hung, lighting and the potential for reflections, as well as viewing distance. For larger institutional clients, I can also work with the variety of your spaces and existing color palettes to curate a selection of images that are completely harmonious to the environments in which they are displayed.
Mockup Service
In order to better visualize how a print, a specific size or multi-print arrangement may work in your environment, I provide free mockup service for each large-format print sold (prints >40″ in the long dimension). To provide this service, I simply need a photo (phone is fine) of the wall, preferably captured straight-on in good light, with a single measurement of a distance that can be identified in the image.
Single vs. Multiple-Print Arrangements
As I specialize in high-resolution panoramic prints, most of the prints I sell are quite large (typically around 20×70″). Mounted prints larger than 40″ in the long dimension can incur significant shipping charges depending on the mount, and thus it can be prudent to consider a multiple-print arrangement, which can also look quite elegant in many environments. For example, a single 20×70″ print could also be presented as an arrangement of a 20×30″ print in the center, with a 20×20″ print on both ends. Most people are worried about seeing the ‘seam’ in between two adjacent prints, but in my experience most people no longer ‘see’ the line between two adjacent prints after a day or so.
