Much of my photography accomplished while traveling captures the subtle and unique signs of the human condition upon that particular environment: the clawed-through evidence of a hungry child finding a food source, never-before seen graffiti condemning a once-revered leader prior to his passing, various signs of the effects of the new world encroaching upon–perhaps even replacing–the old. People necessarily figure prominently in the images, while the unique aspects of local landscapes are less apparent, often due to the logistics and time constraints involved while visiting places unexplored. While you may find images of familiar landmarks or local attractions, mostly the images either illustrate differences in a society distinct from ours, or convey how similar people separated by oceans can be, regardless of culture or time.
