7/5/14: Conjunction of Moon and Mars

If you’re out and about tonight, take a quick gander up at the moon, and you’ll notice that the orange-red planet Mars is quite close to tonight’s half-moon, while the bluish star Spica can be seen in the vicinity (not shown, outside to the bottom left of the image below).
