This morning’s dawn gave rise to a crescent moon that floated in and out of cloud banks, giving me an opportunity to continue to refine a process I’ve envisioned that enables the passage of time to become evident in an otherwise static image. The test image below condenses four minutes of exposure time into one frame, altering the perception of a common frame of reference that is sometimes difficult to convey in photographs.
